What better way to cultivate the soul of a Mother than to be in nature - with your children in nature.
Although we have not lacked nature outings in recent years , our lives have been way too busy with the start of our family day care, Boomerang Kidlings, as 'Forrest School Style' as possible, while living in Suburbia. We have all grown exponentially with this effort and there is no greater joy than to share our nature infused lives with other children and see the wonderful effect of nature on them all too.
Hasn't Nature Play, Bush Schools, Forrest Schools etc gone totally crazy in the last few years? And here we were jogging along Charlotte Mason style; all enjoying it for generations, since Charlotte Mason days. I bet she would be pleased as can be to see her homeland so nature crazy!
Yet I have to say, I find it all a tad bit 'over institutionalised', if I dare call nature play such - classes on how to be in the bush, paying to play in mud or rivers and to learn how to handle a knife or make a hut or cook damper... Yet again, how does one en-mass create a place for our modern kids to discover nature, without this semi institutionalised nature play? And I would rather be doing this any old day, than having a child grow up in front of a screen. Nature play - here we come!
But at the end of the day there is no better way to enjoy nature but to be freeeeeeeeeee...... to be spontaneous, relaxed, chose your own time, place and moment to stop and stay and play, at your own free will.....
