Reflections: Starting to blog again...

It is years since I have written about our wonderful nature

experiences...

 

 

Our lives have faced many higgledy piggledy changes and we have seen many up-hill struggles, but always our God has been faithful, and His beautiful creation has drawn up to His perfection and His perfect love. We have not been without magnificent nature experiences nor have we been without photographs to capture these moments, they just have not been recorded here... ( to write about ones experience one must have time and emotional stamina. But as a quick snippet - We have seen the shy Bell Birds in at Cunningham's Gap, we have travelled from Brisbane to past Sydney to Ulladulla, we have explored the coastal route from Brisbane down and the New England Route coming up, we have been to Stanthorpe and to Inverell. And we now live west of Ipswich QLD, and so a regular country drive through farmland to get home provides magnificent expanse of the scenic rim and it's most beautiful cloud formations. We have been constantly blessed by the reminders that our God is a magnificent Creator and worthy of our praise, for each day He paints a new picture for you and me to see! 

 

 Our best outdoor experience over the past years has got to be camping at the Gorge, Aratula!  These pictures are all from The Gorge, take a closer look - sometimes the reflection is more clear than the actual object, how true to life that is, sometimes we can see better when we reflect, than when we go through experiences in life.

Hello Friends

We're back again, after a few years break! But never have we stopped enjoying God beautiful creation!! In our joys and but especially in our sorrows we have had a constant reminder of God's love and grace and mercy, as we have looked around at His beautiful creation. (The best art in the world around every corner of our lives!) We have moved to a very ordinary small country town in Australia. But from our windows we see birds and trees, with every drive the heavens declare the greatness of our God!

Reading through Genesis again recently we were struck with the realisation that God didn't just make trees for fruit/food but for our pleasure!!

  Genesis 2 says in verse 8  and 9 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.  And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Isn't that amazing? God didn't just think of our need to feed our stomachs, to give our bodies energy and to stay alive. God thought of the need of our souls to be uplifted by His creative beautiful creation! He gave us trees that are pleasant for our sight! How thoughtful and kind; how wonderful!! (No wonder I love living in my old run down house so much, I look out on God's trees each and every day, and love God all the more for them - for they are beautiful!)

We drive a lot here in Australia...an hour and more to the beach , to the dam, for a walk, across mountains, to rainforests.... what amazes me is that every second of travelling you see a 'new picture', a new snippet of God's awesome creation. And for every new snippet we see  ... if we could stand and watch that snippet of creation for a day - every second that snippet would change: the wind would blow the leaves, insects and birds would come and go, clouds and sun, moon and stars would change the lighting. Every second God is creating and sustaining in every corner of the universe. No camera, no human mind can comprehend such greatness! A great Creator who can create such awesome beauty and all over the universe, perpetually, for all time!! And some dare to give 'Mother Nature' credit - what blasphemy!
